Barnus Ryskamp keeps a farm of chickens and sheep south of Kal Crossing. He chose farming for a reason: "I'm a farmer, I chose this profession specifically because it ISN'T exciting." The animals have other ideas. No matter how many he sells, more keep turning up, and his sheep grow their wool back at what he calls a "seemingly supernatural rate."

He cannot resist a wool pun ("I had no intention to pull the wool over your eyes!"), and before you head off he tells you never to go anywhere without something to eat, because "your health does not restore fast on its own." In Shepherd For Hire he is "promising coin for the job" of shearing his sheep, and a customer at the fence turns out to be less than honest.

He thinks the bandits have grown desperate lately. "I'm sure that this war with the undead has had something to do with it. But that's none of my business."

I don't care much what he's trying to hide, everyone's got secrets! The man just wants to buy some chickens, and I won't turn down someone who wants to pay me for them.
