About
Heather Vayne lives in the apple orchard house in Badongerst. Ask her about her hobby and she says she has been "tracking the weather every day for the last twenty years. Keeps a woman busy on her time off." Hayward Bale says they "used to work with the cows together", though she "has retired from the job now". She expects little of visitors ("I highly doubt that you're interested in my hobbies"), and during The Badongerst Blaze she has a message for Itsop Lloyd: "Ye can tell him he's not welcome in my home after the last time he came over".
Her other hobby is cooking. "On a trip I took over the western mountains to do a little weather recording a few years back, I met a Simaros who knew how to cook Valac meat", and it was "one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted." She wants to taste it again. The Mystery Of The Meat is where you come in, since she is, in her own words, "not built for monster slaying."
