About

Mack Errol is the fisherman in the house by the Wesfil Loid. He was born on a fishing trip: "My mother brought me into this world on a fishing trip with my father, taught me then and there how to pull in a full net of Mackrel." He starts you on the net ("The rod takes time to learn, but the net is a better starting point"), explains the rod when you ask about carp, and opens his fishing supplies to anyone who asks for them. He does not like visitors in his house ("Can’t an old man get some gosh dang PRIVACY in his own home!?"), and he does not like being called old.

But for your information, you can just call me Mack! I’m not that old, and I’m not sure why people treat me as such, I’m only fifty-two…

Mack never saw the Fishing Wars, but he heard the stories as a boy: "I remember the stories about Captain Badon, those were my favorite." Theodore Badon sends people to him for "a bit more history told in an exciting way." Mack was also a friend of the poet Mcgee, "a good friend of mine, and a good neighbor as well", and "Used to bring carp over to his home whenever I would visit and chat."

In the Return of the Mack event he is out on a walk by the loid, thinking about his grandest moments. Years ago he caught 100 fish in fifteen minutes "with nothing but a rod and some bait", and the record has stood ever since. He wants you, and anyone you can bring, to pull a hundred fish from the loid and lift his spirits.

In his own words

Then you have some sense about ya, for the record I am ONLY 52. And as for the fishing wars, I didn't see JACK.

Captain Badon told his men to 'hide in the dark and hold your breath, and when light peaks over the horizon, emerge from your hiding place and strike at once!

Your brothers in arms will return and with the rays of the morning sun, we shall lay our enemies bare across the fields of Umbardom! They will have nowhere to hide from our arrows!'

Can’t an old man get some gosh dang PRIVACY in his own home!?

Look at that haul! I knew you youngsters had it in ya, I'm feeling inspired! The Mack is Back!
