Your estate

You spend your first minutes in the game at the estate, and you leave it the hard way. When Humble Beginnings ends, the estate is wrecked: every part of it is set back to its ruined state. Captain Badon's summary of what his guards found: "By the time we arrived the estate had gone up in smoke."

Getting back

The estate sits east of Kal Crossing. Badon's directions: "just follow the road East along the North side of the Wesfil Loid", and look for a break in the high cliffs on your left. The estate's main gate takes you in.

Every player has an estate of their own. Walking through the gate takes you to yours, not someone else's.

Rebuilding

The estate is split into plots: the house itself, its rooms, the basement, the bedroom and three outdoor areas. Each plot can be rebuilt one way or another, and the house comes first. In the game's words: "An estate is hardly an estate without a functional building. Repair this to unlock the ability to fix up the rest of the estate."

Some of the options on offer, as the game describes them:

• Outdoors: "Refurbishes the plot to grow apples. Allows you to grab apples at any time.", or a pond, a quarry, silkworms, flax, wheat or chickens.
• Rooms: "Refurbishes the room into one containing workstations for forging metal equipment.", or a kitchen, a leatherworking room, an altar, a shop, or a room that teleports you.
• Basement: an arena for practice, a vault for storage, or a winery.

Party members can help carry the load: anyone in your estate can hand in materials, as long as you are online.

Visitors

You can only visit the estates of your party members, and only while they are in it. An estate holds four players at a time. See party play.
