Agneiss Bellows greets visitors at the Kal Crossing mines, which Captain Badon places "due South East of here across the bridge". She is married to Silvia Bellows, whose forge stands just south of the mine. Before Persistence their work for the crown is copper and iron armor for the guards; afterwards it is steel.
Business has turned. "Recently orders have slowed down, the iron remaining in the mine is becoming increasingly dangerous to mine", and "we have received orders from the crown to slow our process." Cave crawlers have been trouble lately, and the guards who used to patrol the entrance are gone. She has seen "people slinking about the mine at night", and has half a mind to scare them off, "but Silvia doesn't want me getting hurt."
She is blunt. Tell her Captain Badon sent you and she asks "Who's out here volunteering me for extra work?" But when Silvia is upset she is at a loss: "When Silvia is upset, I don't know what to do..." In Persistence that is where you come in.
In her own words
We even used to have guards patrolling the entrance, and even that has gone away. Awful risky if you ask me.
Don't worry though, if I catch any of them trying to steal, they'll be in for a world of hurt!
