Captain Badon sends you to "Agneiss at the mine due South East of here across the bridge". Agneiss Bellows stands outside the Kal Mine, and if you take the melee path through One Short Lesson she sends you in for your first copper ore with one piece of advice: "It shouldn't be dangerous so long as you don't head too deep into the mines."
The mine is not what it was. "Recently orders have slowed down, the iron remaining in the mine is becoming increasingly dangerous to mine", she says, and "we have received orders from the crown to slow our process." Cave crawlers have been trouble lately, the guards who used to patrol the entrance are gone, and she has seen "people slinking about the mine at night."
